E2metrix – Award Winner for Environmental Excellence

E2metrix was crowned the winner of the Eastern Townships Environmental Excellence Award in the Sustainable Development Innovation category.

The Sherbrooke company has developed a technological platform that uses an electrical current to treat wastewater without the use of any chemicals. The systems that the company designs, develops and commercializes, is destined to a variety of markets – industrial, agricultural, health, commercial, etc.

Six other awards were given among the 19 finalists:

• Youth: La Frontalière Secondary School
• Succession : Sustainable Campus, University of Sherbrooke
• Small or Medium-sized Company and Institution: Estrie Aide
• Large Company and Institution: Domtar – Windsor Plant
• Municipality, MRC or Municipal Organization: Municipality of Saint-Étienne-de-Bolton
• Environmental or Non-profit Organization: Action Saint François
