While there are several robust, reliable and affordable solutions for the removal of nutrients, such as ammonia and phosphorus, from wastewater streams at large centralized treatment plants, most of the traditional biological or physical/chemical options are either impractical or unaffordable for small, decentralized operations.

Building on the well-understood principle of electrolysis, the ECOTHOR® technology from E2metrix combines a high-efficiency, proprietary power management system with a unique, patented alloy electrode to create a modular, process platform that can be easily incorporated into any greenfield or retrofit application to reduce ammonia and phosphorus in the wastewater stream to the strictest discharge quality levels, all the while simultaneously disinfecting the effluent from dangerous pathogens (bacteria, viruses, etc.). .
