BREAK FREE FROM PFAS™
Current treatment approaches for removing PFAS from water include separation by reverse osmosis or adsorption that uses a media. However, with these current solutions, PFAS is simply separated from the water, leaving the possibility of PFAS being re-released into the environment.
Utilities or industries must consider cradle-to-grave costs and liabilities with any PFAS treatment solution. The ultimate disposal and/or destruction of captured PFAS is often overlooked, but onsite PFAS destruction offers operators the greatest confidence with a lower legal liability.
Obreak® Electro-Oxidation, the E2METRIX EO system, is at the heart of a complete, cost-effective treatment train for water and effluents. The optimal integration of EO includes a concentration step upstream from destruction and a media filter polishing step downstream. Concentrating the PFAS (100x-10,000x) in the feed to EO will optimize the direct and indirect oxidation reactions, resulting in a substantially lower capital expenditure and energy consumption.
With the E2METRIX toolbox, we can propose a single treatment step or a complete flow sheet featuring all the necessary steps for a final, cost-effective, integrated solution for PFAS remediation.
